Bye John Ashcroft!! =) yayeeebut...
Bye Colin Powell. =( I wonder if he would still run for president in 2008 (not that he was planning to). You know how people do those fantasy football/basketball teams? Well my fantasy 2008 election would be:
Republican: Colin Powell/John McCain
Democratic: Hilary Clinton/Al Gore (i feel bad for the guy) or John Kerry
When I told Shayna how sad I am that Colin Powell was leaving, and about my hopes for 2008, she said, "What were you hoping for, an election that would revolutionize everything?" haha...
So I never really trusted Dr. James Dobson (the Focus on the Family guy), and with all this election business I trust him less. In fact, I pretty much don't like him. I think that started when I heard or read something of his in which he lamented about the loss of "good ol' days" of the 1950s when everything was great and wonderful and life was grand and everyone went to church. Ugh. I hate that mentality... the good ol' days for who? Anyway, I'm becoming fearful of the influence of him and other powerful Christian leaders on the Republican party, and their involvement in the election- there's such potential for corruption in all of this.
On another note, when Alias comes back in January, it will be on Wednesday night instead of Sunday!! So guess who will have lab Wednesday night 6-10 pm next semester.
