today was purty cool... i saw john kerry and howard dean. they had this big rally in kogan plaza at gw, and it was a big deal because dean officially endorsed kerry. they gave out tickets yesterday, and the line was crazy long but i got me a ticket, and i didn't even have to go at the crack of dawn like some of the politically obsessed psychos around here. hehe...and at the rally i was really close at the front, and again i didn't even show up really early. i got there around 9, gates opened around 9:30. they were supposed to go on at 10:30 but didn't until noon. that kind of sucked. finally they announced, "ladies and gentlemen, please welcome..." and everyone was cheering but it was only the president of the school and everyone booed. finally after his little speech and the little speeches of 2 students, kerry and dean came on. dean is a lot smaller than on tv, and kerry is very tan. dean has also mellowed a whole lot since last i saw him, hollering out names of states. maybe they crushed something and put it in his drink. the two of them talked for about half an hour, and then i was nearly crushed to death when they came around shaking hands. i did not get to shake their hands, but i did manage to get a picture of some of kerry's hair. curses upon large people in the way. and apparently, the whole thing was live on cnn, which is cool. i also smiled for the photographers taking pictures of the crowd. so...for whom shall i cast my vote-that-counts? at this point i would still have to say bush. who knows though, bush's administration hasn't been looking too good lately.

anyhow, windows media player really sucks at shuffling...it keeps insisting that i listen to "dirt off your shoulders." i mean, i enjoy that ditty, but i just don't feel like it right now, please let me be! i am also going on the church retreat tomorrow to sunday. i'm kind of excited because i haven't gone to a retreat since i've come to college. it will be good.
