this is where i am living next year! [it doesn't include that butch looking rocker grrrl. there are so many pictures of kids playing guitars all over the home and campus website. weird] oh man, housing was last sunday...soooo stressful. there were 153 triples in city hall, and poor shayna was sitting in front of the computer since 12 noon just refreshing the availability page. 12 noon. our appointment time was 7 pm. luckily, i had the musical that afternoon so i was occupied until around 5 pm, then i joined the madness. shay made a line graph, each point at the number of rooms left in each 15-minute time slot. the slope was quite steep during the senior housing time, but leveled off a little. but oh my gosh we going insane, especially when around 6 pm there were less that 20 rooms left. we had a plan set up- we were going to use shayna's computer, but opened the gweb page on 2 other computers, and i typed in my number and PIN (we were using my housing number) ready for clicking, in case something went wrong. since shay had the steadiest hand out of the 3 of us, she was going to pick. the housing website had a screen shots page, so we timed her going through it, as if it were the real thing- 21 seconds to enter the numbers, select everything. we were in good shape, just waiting in anxiety until 7 pm. at 7:00:01 (we didn't want to be unable to log in if we went at exactly 7), it was go time. we didn't think we would get city hall there were 6 rooms left when we went. but shay came through. =) oh man, we went craaazy when we got the room! there was 1 room left when we were done. man, if we the next time slot, we wouldn't have gotten it. city hall 207 booyah. :)

in other news, it was fun playing in the pit for the musical. i still didn't really understand what it was about, since we were backstage, and not in a real pit. good times. a lot of people saw it each night, which was really awesome.

there was also great sadness on campus last week. last friday, ki-seong kim, a junior, shot his ex-girlfriend at university of maryland in the head, and then shot himself. he died that night, and she is still in the hospital and has lost her vision. he was in hope bible study, and while i didn't know him, a lot of people were really close friends with him. it was such a shock to everyone. at hope on thursday, jung made an important point about feeling guilty after such a tragedy. he said that we should not feel guilty, like "oh maybe i could have done something to stop him," because we must not think we can save someone, be a savior. only God can save...who are we to think we can take His place and be a savior to another person. may God be with both families during such a time.

now i have to study. and x-2 is a great movie.
