ok i've been back at school for about 2 weeks now. and i'm sure all (one) of you are dying for an update. update: school is harder than winter break. i think i've been alright in adjusting back to school mode. i have a pretty rough schedule this semester. i'm taking bio, honors creative writing, honors proseminar, physics, and latin. DETERMINED to do better this semester. i've had a lot of work to do, but it's been managable so far. already a little behind in the bio reading...i'll play catch up this weekend. also got in some play time. =)

i got an interesting email last week. it was from project health, this volunteer organization that's really good because it combines medical stuff with public policy, and you get to work outside of the little bubble called northwest dc. so anyway, i applied for it in the fall, and it was a pretty tough application, with a lot of essays and stuff, and i got rejected. and i was sad. but they sent an email, and it said that i had been accepted, but they couldn't use me because of time conflicts. (it was sent to a bunch of us in that situation.) so they had some time slots open this semester for Family Help Desk, which i really want to do, but i have class during every single one of them. that sucked. so i can't do project health this semester either. i'll probably have to reapply next year. at least i wasn't really rejected. i hate rejection.

random lyric stuck in my head:
