Ducks and stuffTuesday, December 31since even though i've had this blog since october 2001 and have yet to decide if it is a "list the things i do everyday" or "talk about my feelings" blog, i'll kind of discuss my winter break so far. it has been fun!! i definitely think about this blog too much because a lot of times when something cool or funny or whatever happens, i think "oh i should blog about this." anyways, some things that stick out to me:~fellowship (mccc, not of the rings): the friday i got back, i went to "felly." it was really great to be there. pondering the true meaning of 98 Degrees' "This Gift" with michelle, discussing The College Freshman Experience with dave and lee-arng (we were the only college kids there) and our one-week long 4.0 GPAs, getting to congratulate allison in person, the awesome skit by christina, eric, and ellen. worship was amazing...ellen, eileen, eric, paige, and derek remixed all these christmas carols and stuff. it was ellen and my "mixmasta al" worship IM conversation come true!! =) ~Christmas service: pastor chang speaking in chinese, chao-ming translating: pastor chang: *makes BOOM sound* chao-ming: there was a large bang ~learning all about canada from carolyn! i now know what boxing day is. it's kind of a let-down, actually. and her roommate is from korea, and i learned that in korea the guys do the whole walk and linking arms thing too. ~SKIING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fun fun fun fun vacation!!! haven't gone skiing in so long, and it was great! it was in the adirondacks, on supposedly the highest mountain in the east. it sure is high! i love skiing. flew over a lot of bumps and stuff, but kept in control. i only fell once, but what a fall it was. i fell on a really steep black diamond, but when i fell down i couldn't stop, so i was sliding on my butt down the hill, and had to stop by throwing myself facedown into the snow. it was cold and it hurt. on saturday night, we saw ekaterina gordeeva! skating. it was grand. a funny memory is when one night in the room my dad farted really loudly and my dog started crying. good times! ~got pulled over by the authorities for the first time ever yesterday. it was really scary. there was this police car following really closely behind me down tennent road, and i was kind of nervous, so i made sure i didn't speed or anything. and then their lights starting flashing, and i was like uh oh. i have no experience with this, and it was right at a light, so for some reason i made a right turn and then pulled over. i don't think you're supposed to do that. i guess it looked like i was fleeing from the cops. my first thought was "oh man my parents will be so mad" and my second thought was "oh no we're going to be late for harry potter!" i also had no idea what i did wrong. but it turned out that one of my brake lights was out, and the policeman told me about it and that i should get it fixed. so that was my first experience getting pulled over. it's pretty embarassing, becasue all the other cars see you and you feel them judging you, with their eyes... just kidding. anyway, that's about it for now. i feel like the proper description of this blog entry is "What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. at no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. i award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul." -the principal in billy madison it is new year's eve! happy new year's !! |
