ahh, what a nice, relaxing weekend. thank you God! =) it was the first weekend where i didn't have a ton of work to do. it was really beautiful weather, too. yesterday i went to the national gallery of art with kim, that place never ceases to amaze me....we spent like 4 hours in there, then went to see the september 11th exhibit in the american history museum...it was so heartbreaking. it was very shocking too, because they had pieces of bent steel from the towers, along with pieces of airplane found at the site...it was right there in front of us, and it shocked me, how real it was. for some reason, it seemed like quite the contrast with the thousands of protestors yesterday protesting the war. it just seemed weird to me, i guess.

and i chilled and watched "save the last dance" while two buddies played with my hair...i love it when people play with my hair. even though it's very messy and gross and is probably a harrowing experience for the people. oh well!

oh yeah, and before, on friday night, i went to a mall! the first time since i left new jersey mall capital. i went to pentagon city, which is a metro stop. it's a really cool mall, very pretty. it seemed like a condensed version of short hills. i like it a lot. i found the exact kind of jeans i want at aeropostale, so i'm going back on wednesday to buy them. and jimmy fallon was on jay leno on friday night!! still the best. =)

then today i couldn't go to church b/c i wouldn't be able to make it back in time for band rehearsal. so i enjoyed my extra hour of sleep. and i worked out, so i felt really healthy today. and then...band rehearsal and band concert! my first every college performance. i didn't feel nervous or anything, i think because dr. fritz doesn't put as much pressure on the band as mr. dalton did back in high school. so it went pretty smoothly and i had fun. it was a very good experience. i'm happy that i joined band...it's so relaxing on tuesday nights during rehearsal. i forget about homework or upcoming tests or other worries, and just concentrate on playing the music. it really puts my mind at ease, and i don't worry as much afterwards, and it helps me focus later on my work. yay, band.

AND SHAILEY MIGHT COME IN 2 WEEKS!!! i'm so excited, she'll probably be able to come down to visit me for a whole weekend!! hooray!! i really hope it works out, i can't wait.

i found out where embassy row is today, because the shuttle took a different route, down massachusettes ave. so cool- all the embassies in...well, a row. i'm so there for trick-or-treating on thursday. i haven't trick or treated since elementary school, so i'm excited to take advantage of where i am! and after hitting up the embassies, i plan on going to all the rich people houses where i live. this is where a lot of diplomats and other rich folks live, and houses are sold by sotheby's. rich people's homes = full size candy!!!! i'm looking forward to that.

dude, they're not showing "alias" until 1 am because of the bloody football game! bah, i think i will watch it at 1 am..i can't wait! oh, the joys of college. now i should go and finish some reading. later.
