Ducks and stuff

this weekend was pretty good. friday i had no lab in the afternoon, and latin's over at 10:20, so i got to relax. well, since i didn't get my project health application done i couldn't really relax. it took a couple of hours to finish the essay questions. then in the evening i rode the metro to my aunt and uncle's house. i ate real food!! my aunt made "zha jiao mien" the best noodles thing. my favorite. i stayed at their house overnight and left saturday afternoon after my aunt and i went out to eat (more real food, and chinese noodles yet again =) i got back to the dorm and felt a little homesick. so i slept for 1.5 hours. then i finished reading for english. i wanted to go to the prayer/candlelight vigil for sudan at night because it was a special youth/college student one, but no one could go with me and it's not very safe to walk down 23rd to the lincoln memorial at 9 pm. so i didn't go but i'll probably go tonight. then yesterday i went to an early service at ncc, and in the afternoon did work. and then SuperFest (fall fest)...i saw jimmy eat world!! for free!!! and i was pretty close, since it was outside and the "stage" is just the concrete porch. we got there a little late so they had already started. but we got there just in time for "the middle" then they played a couple more songs and finished with "sweetness." it was really cool. they were quite good. that was fun. and i called ellen and it was good talking to her again...she said that fellowship was really strong, so that was good. then at night we watched the emmys. i've never really watched them, but it was fun with the other girls. i thought ellen degeneres' little speech thing was really funny and conan did an awesome job. friends won for best comedy, which was cool. and now i have to do work before class.
