i have failed. i promised myself before college that i wouldn't give in to the tempation. it's so easy to get sucked in, i said, because most college kids do. since i've gotten here i was able to keep away from it. i always hear other people's stories, and it scared me and i didn't want to end up like them. but i was weak, and the tempation was too great. sure it was fun at the time, but now i regret it. in fact, even as i write this i am procrastinating. i even set up a study schedule, but it didn't happen. i was supposed to already have started writing my prosem paper, but nope. i was supposed to have done english reading, prosem reading, and bio reading. i did some prosem reading yesterday, but that was it. aaahh!! i have to become more disciplined! i hate procrastinating.

friday night they showed "about a boy." it was supposed to be on the quad, but they had to move it inside because the grass was wet. it is such a great movie!! i wanted to see it when it came out, but i never got around to it. i love that movie, i want to see it again. hugh grant is very cute and good in it. very very good movie. then at the dorm we watched "bridget jones' diary." now i want to be english. they can say stupid things but still sound very smart because of their awesome accent. and i love their insults in the movies. funny stuff. i finally watched "moulin rouge" last night, when i was supposed to study. it was good, i like it.

friday afternoon a friend her roommate and i went to go see the protestors, because of the imf/world bank meetings. we walked along pennsylvania avenue, and there were so many police and swat everywhere. it was such tight security, but guess what? we didn't see a single protestor. the authorities were all in their riot gear, helmet, shields, and all, but no protestors. they all looked very bored. my friend took some pictures of them. one swat guy said that there were no protestors because they had been arrested that morning. they were not being peaceful, so they were in jail. i was quite disappointed that i didn't get to see any protestors. i didn't see any yesterday either, because i didn't go down to foggy bottom, and none this morning. =( like 600 protestors got arrested friday! and a lot yesterday too i think. exciting stuff, but i didn't get to see any of it.

ok, i WILL stop procrastinating.
