Ducks and stuffSunday, July 7hehe, that's alright connie, so as long as you know where illinois is. you don't want to be in the fall your parents crying and waving you off, and you saying "hey, it's ok, i'm only in the next state over!" and them staring at you in utter disbelief as you step aboard the plane. or something. anyway, and congrats on your ap scores (i read about english on your blog)! you're officially done with high school ets fun! i didn't call so i'm still waiting...yesterday we (my mom, my sister, me) went to pennsylvania to look at houses with the realtor. we got there around 10:30 and waited for him. and then lisa and i accidentally locked my mom's car keys in the car. and so we had to wait for AAA to come. and the guy was mean- after he got the door unlocked he told my mom that it was $35 and she had her checkbook out and he said cash only too, and she said no, the tripleA people said it was 25 and i could pay by check. and then he pushed the lock down and got in his car! and he was sitting in his truck calling them on his phone. he was mean, but silly because when he unlocked that one door, it's automatic so all the other doors were unlocked anyway. so we simply got the keys out and stood there. then he sure must have felt more of a weiner because he had to accept the $25 check. so ANYWAY, back to looking at houses. we looked at so many, it was so tiring. i won't describe it because i don't feel like it. the houses were really nice, and houses there are way cheaper than the ones in new jersey. so you can get a big house that here you would pay like $400,000 there for less than $300,000. which is cool. we also looked at this one builder where it was like our house right now- you decide which model and what features, etc. and they build it for you. they showed us their model home and of course it had all the extras and upgrades. so everything, even the "gourmet island" and cabinets and kitchen floor were options and upgrades. my mom didn't like that, and neither did i, because you can't really tell what the house would actually look like. there were so many options and upgrades and stuff that it seemed to me like when you buy the house, all you really get is a door, you actually have to get everything else extra. aah, we're moving. =( now i have to go play piano and get ready to go to shailey's house. the four elements are going to watch the marlboro fireworks and camp out in shailey's backyard! it's going to be a blast. and not just the fireworks! [get it...blast?] |
