Ducks and stuffThursday, June 27yay, i had loads of fun at the movie thing. there were 22 of us and we went to yankee stadium to be extras in "anger management," this movie with adam sandler and jack nicholson. we saw adam sandler!!!!! that was so awesome. and they made us feel all important because they were really careful where to put everyone. and our group got split up, and the group i was in had to sit in the far side of the stadium because they wanted to do "visual effects": they had some of us walk up and down the aisle while the rest of us sat there and clapped with everyone else. they said they were going to cut and paste and basically fill the stadium with the same 3 columns over and over again. so we'll all be duplicated like 100 times! hehe, but we saw no cameras so they were probably just humoring us. one of the scenes they were filming over and over again was one where adam sandler runs out and grabs the mike from the guy who's starting to sing the national anthem. and the audience is all surprised. so me, nadia, neena, and phyllis had great fun being really exaggeratedly confused and surprised. =) and they provided FREE FOOD!!!! it wasn't top cuisine, but whatever. the "snack pack" they handed out to everyone when we walked in consisted of a plastic bag with a pear, water, apple juice, one hershey kiss, and probably the most miniature of miniature wafers. it was still good of them to provide all that. and dinner was a wrap (either turkey or veggie), a hershey bar or m'ms, chips, and water, in a paper bag. i ate everything, and it tasted pretty good. anyway, back to the actual movie part. it was cool seeing how they do a movie right in front of you, not on tv or anything. they had the whole "cut, please!" and "rolling...and action!" and those black and white click-boards they click in front of the cameras. the other people who got seperated from us got to be right up front behind the baseball players! they might be in the scene because they were so close. all in all, i had a grand old time.we got back at 4:30 am, and i couldn't sleep because those durned birds start chirping around then, and i sleep with the window open. and the sky was getting light and i love sunrises! but i was falling asleep when the sky was really lighting up and the sun was almost coming up. so i didn't get to see the sunrise because i was pretty tired. and i woke up at 11:30, which made me feel yuck. i still have a headache. i love summer! i love that nice breeze that's in the wee hours of a summer day. summer is the best season by far. hurrah for summer! |
