well, i didn't write a college essay on sunday, but i wrote one last night (monday)! woohoo. it's for cornell and it's about sombreros. and how life shouldn't be so complicated. see the connection? =P
i feel good and productive- studied for an hour for bio test, which is a long time for me to study haha, ready to revise final version of essay, finish english essay on narrative techniques in "a respectable woman" and "i stand here ironing", start english paper: the "song of solomon" part b/c that's the only book i've read for it, and read! and study for latin. yay.

last night there was a national merit thing at manalapan high school, and it was nice. they gave girls carnations and boys carnation to pin on- those bootinaherresissess things. and our seats had a sticker w/ our names and school on them! and they called us up one by one to get a certificate and shake hands w/ people. i only got a certificate and a pin, but the semifinalists got sick plaques. they were very cool. marlboro had 23 kids, the most of any other school, and plus half the kids from the other schools were marlboro kids in specialized learning centers. so i guess marlboro is the smartest town! =)

speaking of manalapan, their band plays the same exact arrangement of "malaguena" as us! and the last football game is on thursday against them. but our band is better. definitely better.

speaking of band, i had my last marching band rehearsal ever today! in a way it's kind of sad, and i still remember starting band as a petrified freshman back in '98. but i'm ok b/c duh, it's marching band! but it was pretty cool this year because i got to play trumpet and i got to know some people better and all. aaah, the memories. at the end of the rehearsal mr. dalton was like, "ok, seniors, this is it!" and everyone was like "awww" and i thought we were supposed to be happy so i went "yay!!!" oops, i quickly changed it to a "awww".
